Positive: The host and staff were very friendly and efficient, the location was great, and the price was affordable. Negative: The bed in the living room needs a mattress topper. It was very hard, uncomfortable, and squeaky. It made the guest who slept on it, her back got sick. Other than that, everything else was great.

Basic, old unit but reasonably comfortable! Positive: Location was good, quiet neighborhood. Comfortable bed. Host was quick to supply missing items. Negative: On check in bath appeared dirty with white film on the tub bottom. The temperature was a bit cool on cooler weather days, discovered that there was a heater in the closet that could have been used, just added a blanket to the bed from the other bedding. The tub did not drain while showering. I ended up slipping in the tub on my last shower-jarred my knee. Also no ventilation in the bathroom except for putting a block of wood into the cracked, heavy window of the bathroom. The kitchen was decent and had all that was needed.

A great place to stay. I would definitely recommend it. Positive: Very practical and well-furnished accommodation. Conveniently located close to downtown in a nice neighborhood. It had all the necessary amenities, was clean, and provided a very comfortable stay. Negative: The only thing that stood out was the plastic-like smell in the stairway. Aside from that, everything was excellent.

Great place to stay in Calgary Positive: My friend and I came for a 5-night stay at the Cabernet Sauvignon Escape, and honestly, we didnt want to leave. We are women who travel quite a bit, and this was one of the most comfortable stays weve had in a long time. The suite was spotless, quiet, cozy, and nicely decorated. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the living space was perfect for relaxing after long days exploring Calgary, and we absolutely loved the wine-inspired touches throughout the suite. Having a nice kitchen and separate living area made such a difference for a longer stay. The location was fantastic. It was close to everything and we even walked to the nearby restaurants and bars. We walked downtown from here which took about 20 minutes. And we have to mention the host, Mike, he was absolutely awesome. Friendly, responsive and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. He brought us a heate r and an extra blanket as I am always cold at night. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in the property and goes above and beyond for his guests. If youre looking for an affordable yet fun, relaxing, mid-scale place to stay in Calgary for a girls trip, couples getaway, or even a longer visit, we would highly recommend the Cabernet Sauvignon Escape.
